In the spring of 1986, with 10 years of repair experience and education, Mark and Kelli Groom established Groom’s Appliance Repair, Heating and Cooling. Growing up in Lee’s Summit, they felt they knew the needs of the local community, and dedicated themselves to offering old-fashioned customer service and fair pricing. Having earned the loyalty and trust of local customers, they were able to expand services beyond the borders of Lee’s Summit. Groom’s current service area includes Jackson and Cass Counties in Missouri and Johnson County in Kansas.
Today Mark and Kelli’s legacy lives on through their children. Their son, Chad, started going on jobs with Mark when he was 5 years old. He had been his father’s right-hand man for almost 20 years, working full-time summers and part-time during high school and college. He attended Southwest Missouri State University, graduating in May 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Chad has been managing the day-to-day business operations of the company ever since. His sister, Alana, had started working with mom, Kelli, in the office, shortly before the accident that claimed the lives of beloved parents, Mark and Kelli. Now Alana is the friendly voice on the line when you schedule service or have questions.
Chad and Alana continue to honor their parents’ legacy by always searching for new ways to enhance the lives of their valued customers. Their service technicians attend the latest product training schools to learn about new products being offered and any service concerns of existing products. Simply put, the team at Groom’s Appliance Repair, Heating and Cooling has the stability, education, and expertise to provide the best service to customers–and Mark and Kelli wouldn’t have it any other way.
